Grassland Sheep Show

I took advantage of the rainy weather on the weekend and attended the Grassland Sheep Show in Drake Saskatchewan.

So much to learn, so little time.

In the judging ring was my supplier of breeding stock Rolly Bateman, of Braebank Farms.

Rolly and his sheep won 1st place for best "pen of 5" and best "pen of 2" and second prize for best pen of 3"

6 Wire Electric Fence

This fence is almost complete. I just need to make the electric connections and its ready to  keep sheep in and keep coyotes out.

The bottom wire and the fifth wire are connected to the ground side of the electric fencer. 

Wire # 2,3,4 and 6 are Positive with 8000 volts.

If the coyote tries to climb over the fence, it will get a shock even if his feet are off the ground.

Building a permanent 6 wire electric fence

Today we started driving in the fence posts for our permanent electric fence.
